Joseph and Heather's reception

Before I start with reception details I have to explain the whole situation. My little brother had his reception on Friday and it was a double reception because his new bride Heather has a twin sister who married my step cousin. So now my step cousin is also my brother's bro in law. Everyone got that? Anyway it was a fun reception because they had a special guest show up that got all the kids going crazy!! You guessed it . . . .SANTA!

We were all a little confused because no one ever figured out who it really was but we assumed it was whoever played Santa for the ward party that was also that same night.
Happy couple #1- Adrian and Hannah

Happy and somewhat goofy couple #2 -Joseph and Heather. Good luck with that Heather!

The girls' sister made their cakes. They were both very cute and full of personality!

The two happy couples with all the parents! How precious right.

Breakfast with Santa

Tessa's school had Santa there for breakfast last week so of course we had to go take the girls to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas!
I think Brylee will like anyone who will give her candy!
I think Macie took the longest with her big list for Santa.
Tessa has a smiling problem like her dad. They don't exactly know how to smile for pictures! Santa was actually pretty funny. He made sure to tell the girls they needed to leave chocolate chip cookies out on Christmas Eve because those are his favorite!

Randy was very excited to wake up early on a Saturday morning. Can't beat pancakes and sausage for a buck!

I think it was a little early for Brylee too!

Thanksgiving and Christmas trees

So Thanksgiving weekend was full of lots of fun and excitement and stress and more fun and a little arguing and a little more fun. Mostly fun! We drove to Heber the morning of Thanksgiving and had dinner with Randy's family. I was very awesome and only took one picture of the whole dinner! Whats up with that right? Anyway, the day after Thanksgiving my little bro Joseph got married to a beautiful girl named Heather (Cherilyn has all those pics so I will have to post them when I get them. . . .hurry and e-mail me Cherilyn!) That was awesome, Randy's dad did the sealing and it went really well. My poor mom was very stressed about things but everything turned out just lovely! My whole family was there except for Chrisitina's hubby Dan so it was nice to see everyone.

Oh, I forgot the little detail of black Friday. Randy and his brother Ben decided it would be smart to go to Wal-Mart in Winslow to avoid a huge crowd. They had the trampoline we have been wanting for our girls Christmas present so they left at about 3:45 in the am to get to Winslow by 5ish. Randy got the tramp and then some. I should not have sent him unsupervised with so much on sale. He got lots of good stuff but spent too much money. We will just put it this way, the bank locked his debit card because they thought someone had stolen it. AAAAHHHH!

Anyway, Saturday we went with Randy's family and my dad to get Christmas trees. It was a lot of fun and this is where some of the fighting came in!

Here is my dad, Randy and Tessa on the hunt for the perfect tree. It took us a while because we had to find three of them.
One down!

Two more down (after several hours of hunting and me giving up because I wasn't picking good enough ones)

Randy feeling very proud of himself after all his hard work of finding the perfect tree.
These are just some random pics I took of the lovely family who was there! I did mention it was mostly fun right!
It was slightly cold!

Tiff lookin all hot in her lovely blue hat! Crazy lady with no jacket!!!

Just trying to stay warm. BBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

So ya, this was the only picture I got out of the whole Thanksgiving dinner. What a good photographer I am.
All in all it was an awesome weekend with all the people I love and am so thankful for. Not to mention the several pounds I gained eating all the turkey and pie, yum, yum.
LIFE IS GREAT WHEN YOU HAVE SUCH AN AWESOME FAMILY!!!

Halloween Fun . . .or NOT!

What fun Halloween is. Not so mch this year. I have spent all weekend cleaning up puke from kids. Poor little Macie didn't even get to go trick-or-treating because she was throwing up and she hadn't even had any candy yet. I got to stay home and hold puke bowls and Randy took Tessa and Brylee to his cousin Jared's house for their trunk or treat. Tessa was nice enough to take Macie's bucket with her and get some candy for her poor sick sister.

As you can hopefully tell Tessa was a cave woman and Brylee was a pumpkin.
Cave woman with an attitude I should say.

This is how poor Macie spent the night!

Cookies and Pumpkins

The girls had lots of fun preparing for Halloween. We made some cookies to take to our neighbors and we painted pumpkins. They had a lot of fun and it kept them busy for a while so that is always good!

Macie is very hard at work making a face on her pumpkin.

Macie is hard at work licking the face off her pumkin! Brylee was having lots of fun as you can see.
Tessa was very creative and just wanted to load the cookies up with frosting and more frosting then sprinkles and aaahhh!!! So much sugar! Their little friend Jade is in the background.

We decided to paint our pumpkins because I am not a very creative carver so I just let them do their own thing with the paint. I think this was Macie's finished product.

Tessa's finished product. She was very proud of her pumpkin because she picked it herself on her school field trip to Apple Annie's.

Little artists at work.

This was Brylee's finished product. Very beautiful don't you think!

Tessa is 7!!

Today is Tessa's b-day and she is now a very old lady at 7 years old!! Randy's half-sister came this weekend to visit and have Randy clean their teeth so we had a big party for Tessa on Friday. Beverly is quite the party expert so she planned an awesome party for Tessa and we had a lot of fun decorating and doing fun stuff. I owe a HUGE thank you to Beverly!! It was a crazy weekend but we had so much fun and it was probably Tessa's best birthday ever cuz unlike the parties I plan she actually had a fun cake and fun decorations and games.

This is Tessa and Lindsey making her cake. It was so cute. They made a little purse cake and they did an awesome job!
Lindsey also painted all the kids faces and you can't see Brylee's but she has a really cute lady bug on her cheek that she is very proud of.

This was the very festive birthday table after all the decorations were done. Tessa was so excited.

Here is Beverly being very creative and making flowers out of balloons. She is very crafty which was good because I am not at all.

Anthony (Beverly's husband) was getting a little light headed blowing up all the balloons for the flowers. He was so very helpful with party preparations.

Flower balloons being strategically placed. Anthony took directions very well!

This was the final product. It turned out so cute and Tessa loved it. She has never had such a fun cake before.

Lindsey was nice enough to give Tessa a birthday makeover. She looked so cute when they were done.

More face paint!

Most of the girls at the party. Tessa has never had so many presents before!

Make a wish!!
All in all it was a fun party and we enjoyed have Beverly and her family come and visit. We all had a lot of fun!

I HATE Potty Training

I hate potty training!!!!!! 2 weeks ago I almost ran out of diapers so I thought what a better time to start potty training Brylee. The first day was really, really horrible. I hid the diapers and told her we had to wear undies because the diapers were gone. I spent most of the day sitting in the bathroom and singing potty songs to get her to go. It was a long and horrbile day but it paid off. She went the next with only one accident and then the next 3 days after that with no accidents. I thought I had just experienced the easiest potty training ever. Well, not so much.

Randy decided that he and I needed a day away so we had the girs stay with my wonderful sister Cathy and her hubby over night. Well Brylee didn't like the idea of us going aparently cuz she didn't go in the toilet once. Poor Cathy ended up putting her in a diaper cuz she wouldn't go in the toilet. When I got home we put undies back on her and she did perfect for 2 days no accidents. The last 4 days in a row I have been pulling my hair out because she will not go in the toilet. I ask and ask and ask and she says no I don't need to go then she goes and pees in her pants. AAAAHHHHH!!!! I don't have the patience for this! It is a good thing she is so dang cute or I would have beat the child by now!

Isn't that the cutest little bum you have ever seen. She is doing a little flip so I couldn't resist the bum shot!
I get really upset when she pees her pants but then she smiles like this and I can't help but smile!!

Random

So Tessa had a fund raiser at school where she sold cookie dough. She worked really hard and sold a bunch of cookie dough because she wanted to win this big sterio system which was going to be impossible because you had to sell like $750 of dough to get it which wasn't going to happen but I didn't tell her that. Instead she was rewarded with a bunch of giant weird things from the dollar store probably. We had a lot of fun with the huge glasses. Everyone had to take turns having their picture taken.

They were a little big for Brylee's head so she had to hold them on her face. Good times, good times. We are so easily entertained at our house.
